The Brookline Campus of Boston College’s historical buildings rest on 45 acres of wooded estate and provide a beautiful array of event spaces to suit any function from Weddings & Bar/Bat Mitzvahs to Conferences and Meetings.
The Dane Estate is proud to feature the exquisite cuisine of our exclusive catering partner, Heights Catering.
Additionally we offer a 476 seat theatre complete with an orchestra pit, dressing rooms and theatre lighting & sound.
The Dane Estate Mansion was built in 1891 and was designed in the Richardson style architecture. It was known as the “Roughwood Estate” and was purchased by the Dane family in 1904. A wing containing the music room, now known as Founder Hall, was built in 1909 and an organ loft was added in 1916. Founders Hall is now used as an inside ballroom for romantic weddings and other events seating up to 100 guests. Pine Manor College acquired the Dane Estate and surrounding acreage in 1962. Pine Manor College merged with Boston College in June of 2022 and is now known as the Brookline Campus for Boston College.
