I wish we could give Meritage more than 5 stars because 5 just does not do them justice. We cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Meritage. We left everything up to James and it was the best decision we could’ve made. Our guests were dancing the ENTIRE night – even elderly family members who have trouble walking. James did such an amazing job picking songs that kept everyone dancing without anyone losing interest. James completely exceeded our expectations, and I really think if we had a different DJ, our wedding would’ve been completely different and not nearly as fun. Our friends and family members are still commenting on how awesome he was and what a great time they had. We cannot thank James enough and are so happy and grateful that he made our wedding night so much fun. He is so helpful, creative, talented, and incredible at what he does. We can’t recommend him enough!

We used Arlene at Invitations & Company to do our wedding invitation set. She was extremely friendly and a pleasure to work with throughout our several visits in the process. The wedding invites turned out absolutely great, just exactly how we wanted them, and we got tons of compliments from our guests on how wonderful they looked. We also used her envelope address printing services and everything turned out perfectly without any issues.

Arlene was extremely helpful for the following reasons:

1) She knew all the social norms that go along with invites, what’s appropriate, what’s not, what’s normal, where there’s flexibility, etc, saving us a ton of time researching “invite protocol.”

2) She had a great eye for spacing and how to lay out text on the invite/info/rsvp card in a manner that looked good. This is very hard to do well on your own, so it was great having a professional do it for us!

3) She had great ideas for how to word things succinctly but clearly while still maintaining our voice in the invites.

4) When we would ask her, she offered her professional opinion on what looked good and what wording might sound nice, but did not force it upon us and was happy to do whatever we wanted. It was really great having her huge knowledge base and experience at our disposal while still getting to make the invites our own.

5) She had a million invite examples in her office on display as well as books and books of samples, so if you have no idea where to start you will be able to hone in on your style in just minutes in her office, as we did.

Overall, we loved how our invites turned out and she made it a fun and easy process for us. As far as price, we felt that the invites turned out to be a great value for how fantastic they looked. We would definitely recommend Invitations & Company to anyone else in Boston!

Elizabeth is by far the best!! She is such a sweet lady – when we met her, it seemed like she was an old friend. She is easy to talk to and takes a lot of time with meetings so you never feel rushed, which is something I value and appreciate. I don’t want to spoil any surprises, but when we first met with her, we walked into her office and she did a special welcoming for us – at that point we knew we wanted her to marry us. She is fun, nice, creative, and has great ideas, too! She was a wedding planner for a long time so also gives you tips and tricks on wedding planning. She also gifted us the book she wrote on wedding planning (it’s a super informative and cute book)! I cannot say enough great things about Elizabeth. Sadly, our wedding was postponed to next summer due to COVID – Elizabeth has been very caring and understanding throughout the entire process. We highly recommend her and cannot wait for her to marry us next year. I will leave another recommend next year, which I know will be great. But, in the meantime, I wanted to leave a great review, because she has been superb! Thank you, Elizabeth!

Sandy and the Design Light team were spectacular!! They so flawlessly executed our vision for our wedding at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Grand Ballroom!! They made the most subtly perfect touches to an already ornate room, and it was truly magnificent, they made the room sparkle, and it felt like an absolute fairytale!! Not to mention how easy and wonderful they were to work with, they are the nicest people. Sandy and Design Light are the absolute best, I would HIGHLY recommend them!!

We can’t say enough great things about using Meritage Entertainment to DJ your wedding. From the first time we contacted them months before the wedding, they were extremely responsive and accommodating to what we were looking for. We were very lucky to have DJ Dan for our wedding, who kept people on the dance floor the ENTIRE night and did a phenomenal job capturing our tastes in music. So many people told us that they couldn’t get a break from the dance floor because they didn’t want to miss any of the bangers that Dan was mixing in. Two of my groomsmen split their pants down the middle because of what Dan’s music inspired them to do on the dance floor. Everything was extremely well run and professional. Do yourself a favor and book Meritage for your wedding!!

Arlene is incredible – she made the invitation process an absolute joy! She attentively listened to what I had in mind and showed me numerous examples to help me further figure out my stylistic preferences. When I decided I wanted to do our invitation suite in hand calligraphy, she supported me as we worked to find the calligrapher and get the style just right. Of all the wedding vendors we worked with, Arlene was by far the most impressive. When our “Save the Dates” arrived with a tiny error due to a printing issue, she immediately got a new batch for us from the printer. When we needed some creative signage around our venues, Arlene created signs that were so beautiful our guests asked to take them home! My husband and I will treasure our invitation for years to come – the final result was absolutely stunning. Multiple guests went out of their way to tell us our invitation was the most beautiful they had ever seen! However, more than anything else, what sets Arlene apart is her years of experience and attention to even the tinniest detail. I feel so lucky that we found her and I’m already trying to think of future opportunities when we might be able to work with her again! 

We absolutely love the video Jamie put together for our wedding at the Wianno Club on Cape Cod. Working with him was one of the best decisions of our wedding. Everyone has told us he completely nailed it. He captured the details I was looking for. What was really impressive was his ability to capture every moment, but you never felt like the camera was disrupting how special the moment was. He was also very easy to work with (organized, responsive, etc.) Highly recommend JPod Films! Thank you so much for all you did to capture our wedding day!

Lynn is a bride’s dream vendor! The best combination of fun, creative, talented, and professional. Her work is some of the best quality I’ve seen and she handled things for me with my venue so I had less on my plate. She even hand delivered the items when they were ready! I recommend her one thousand percent!

We absolutely loved working with Edna and Kasie to create the wedding of our dreams! From the beginning, everything was laid out clearly so we could not go wrong in terms of our budget. We were successful in finding the perfect venue that had everything we wanted and that fit into our budget. From there, everything took off seamlessly! From the flowers, the rentals for the tables, the invitations, and the cake, all vendors were selected to match the exact vision we desired. Edna was essential for the helping to select the key elements of the design that made everything coordinate and match perfectly. When it was time for the practicalities of the wedding, Kasie jumped in to make the entire process stress free. Her amazing communication with myself and all the vendors made my life so much easier! She was extremely specific and punctual in all of the details regarding the timeline and the organization of the entire event. Her positive attitude throughout the process made this all helped to make this a relaxed and enjoyable process. We feel so lucky to have worked with EFD Creative and we truly could have not have had the wedding of our dreams without the amazing team of Edna and Kasie!

Jamie produced my wife and I’s wedding film and we cannot say enough good things. Jamie was so professional and easy to work with from beginning to end. On the day of the wedding, he and Mia were such a fun, warm and welcome presence. When we first started planning our wedding, we debated whether to splurge on a videographer. After watching the video six times in a row the night it arrived (yesterday), we have our answer. Definitely the best decision we made. Thank you so much to Jamie, Mia and the whole team for creating such a beautiful video. Having all those moments and especially the speeches on film is priceless!

I got married at the Copley three weeks ago and our day could not have been more magical. It seriously makes me want to cry thinking about how amazing Ashley was through out this whole process. We got so lucky with her! Not only was Ashley so genuine, so nice, but she was extremely responsive, thorough and very detailed. There was not one question, call or email that was too small or too big for her. She made us feel like we were the #1 priority at all times. On the day of the event, she was there for us every step of the way, making sure we had absolutely zero stress. Overall, Ashley did a flawless job…start to finish! I highly recommend the Copley for a wedding venue and Ashley as your coordinator!!!

Working with Arlene, the owner of Invitations & Company, was one of the highlights of our wedding planning process. Arlene helped us design the wedding stationery suite of our dreams (save the dates and invitations but also ceremony programs, menus, escort and place cards etc.), which turned out to be even more beautiful than we could have hoped. Arlene is the most caring, kind and thoughtful person and seeing her at our appointments was always a real delight. She had amazing advice and ideas throughout the design process, as well as answers to all of our etiquette and logistical questions. Most importantly, she was always “on our side”, reminding us that at the end of the day, it was our wedding so we could do anything we wanted to. Arlene was always ultra-responsive to our e-mails and calls, and very accommodating about scheduling appointments on weekends and on short notice. Likewise, our invitations were printed and addressed very quickly. Overall, our experience with Invitations & Company was an eleven out of ten, and we will hands down be working with Arlene again for any future stationery needs.

Working with Camille and Kelly was the best part of my wedding planning process. We booked Artistic Blossoms immediately following our first meeting- we knew we didn’t even need to meet with anyone else. The way in which they work really stuck with me because I had a general idea of what I liked but very few reference photos. If you pull a photo from Pinterest, they work with you to go beyond the photo and talk through why you like it and what you’re gravitating for. They then create the most beautiful and unique vision tailored to you. Not only are they talented in their field, Camille was the ultimate support while trying to plan our wedding through the pandemic. She jumped in to help problem solve and put me in contact with people to re-plan once we learned we had to make adjustments. I cannot say enough positive things about Artistic Blossoms. You will be so pleased with the results and blow your guests away!

DJ Evan did an amazing job keeping our wedding reception running smoothly and playing an incredibly diverse and energetic mix that brought every one to the dance floor. We were really worried about choosing the right DJ because our day wedding consisted of a diverse mix of Irish and Chinese cultures with half the crowd being over the age of 60 and the rest being in their early 30s. However, Evan absolutely nailed it with a mix of motown, contemporary, and Irish crowd pleasers. He knew how to read the crowd and work in our list of must plays in a smooth way. Our guests raved about the playlist and the wait staff said that it was one of the most fun receptions they have ever worked. Yes Meritage is on the higher end of the price range but they are worth every penny if you want a high energy wedding. Highly recommended!

Jeri was fantastic to work with! I got her contact information from my venue. From the beginning, Jeri was quick and efficient. We had our appointments over the phone and via email, which you would think with flowers would be impossible, but Jeri makes everything possible. As we would talk on the phone she would send me arrangements that were exactly what I was describing to her. She is an active listener and truly goes above and beyond for her client. When I met her the day of my wedding, she was exactly who I thought she would be. A very friendly face and full of happiness for her client. The bouquets were beautiful and everything we hoped for. I would highly recommend! 

We had both our ceremony and reception at The Exchange one month ago! If you are looking for a unique, upscale and memorable wedding venue in Boston, this is the ONE. It is an absolutely gorgeous venue and on your wedding day, it looks even better! Michele and Alanna and their entire team are amazing. The food is extremely high quality. We had stations (sushi, carving, salad wall and dessert). Our guests have told us they ate more at our wedding than any other they have attended. People lost their minds over the sushi. The Exchange is located at the end of the fish pier in the Seaport…how could we not have sushi? The main room is spectacular. You will NOT get a better view in Boston. You are literally right on the harbor. You don’t need to decorate much at all. You can rent lights from them for the ceiling, which I highly recommend. For flowers, use Artistic Blooms (Camille and Kelly)! They work with The Exchange regularly, so that part was seamless! We had a donut table for our late night snack. The team is so creative, they displayed them beautifully and again, guests are still talking about it. No other choice, but to use Kane’s Donuts…best in Boston. Having our ceremony and reception at the same venue was a priority for us. Michele and Alanna made it all happen so perfectly and they made it seem effortless. I know it was not, but they remain so in control and professional…they make it all about the bride and groom. They are easy to talk with, they listen, they are responsive, they follow-up, they offer ideas and suggestions. It was a positive experience from beginning to end. We recommend The Exchange without reservation!! Good luck and congratulations!

Ashley and her whole team were incredible at bringing my vision to life down to every last detail. Everyone who came to my wedding said it was the best wedding they’d ever been to and that wouldn’t have been true if I hadn’t worked with Ashley. She was so attentive and helped to guide me along the whole process seamlessly and I am so grateful for her. It’s definitely the best place to have a wedding!

Jeri was an absolute pleasure to work with. From the moment we met with her (over a year before our wedding), we felt comfortable and knew we made the right decision. I personally am not an artistic person or knowledgeable about flowers, so it was a little hard for me to put into words what I envisioned for my wedding day, but Jeri immediately (somehow!) was able to understand exactly what I was looking for. We met with Jeri twice–once for the initial meeting where we discussed what I was looking for and after which she wrote up a proposal–and once about 2 months before the wedding where she arranged a sample centerpiece. I left both meetings feeling confident that flowers were one thing I did not need to worry about. The first thing I saw when I walked into our venue on our wedding day was our beautiful flowers, and seeing how perfect they were set the tone for the rest of the day. I cannot recommend Jeri enough!

If you’re questioning if you want/need a videographer to capture your wedding- this is the sign that you do. Not only do you need a videographer but you need to work with Jamie!! He was truly a professional and so easy to work with. Jamie has worked with a few of my friends or friends of friends in the past and came highly recommended. We first spoke with Jamie about a year prior to our wedding. Our initial conversation was to review what we were looking to capture during our special day and what we liked/ didn’t like about some wedding videos. Jamie was SO informative, easy to talk to and extremely easy to work with. On our wedding day he truly blended in with all of the guests and we didn’t even notice that he was there capturing all of the big and little moments. Some moments that we maybe we have missed without him there. With the package we chose Jamie and his second shooter filmed the getting ready portion of the day (one shooter with the girls, one with the guys), the ceremony, full speeches, first dances and the reception. We would recommend Jamie to anyone who was looking for a videographer and HIGHLY recommend using a videographer to film your day! You put so much time, effort and energy into the perfect day why wouldn’t you want to relive it over and over again?!

Artistic Blossoms was UNBELIEVABLE! Camille and Kelly completely transformed the JFK Library and Museum into a magical space between the exquisite chuppah, centerpieces, bouquets, and their overall expertise and attention to detail that made each and every detail of the venue shine. Despite my difficulty making decisions, the Artistic Blossoms team wad able to take my vague ideas and transform them into the most beautiful, enchanting environment. I could not recommend Artistic Blossoms enough— they are top notch. Thank you all! You helped make my wedding a dream come true!

We had Dan Campbell as our DJ with his wife Julie doing the uplighting. I can’t say enough good things about them! We had quite a few stressful, unfortunate things happen before our wedding which got us both in a weird funk and not in the excited mood we wanted to be in. As soon as we had our phone conversation with Dan, our moods instantly changed. He had so much positive energy and excitement in his voice and was committed to making our wedding the perfect day for the both of us. He listened to everything we had to say and also gave us some great advice and tips on how to make the most of the dance floor. The music was absolutely perfect. He read the crowd and made sure he got everyone on the dance floor enjoying themselves. I still have people talking about what an amazing job he did. The lighting was perfect and Julie did a great job setting the lights with the mood of the room for each part of our reception. For anyone contemplating on getting uplighting for their wedding, definitely do it!! I can’t recommend Dan enough. He truly did such an amazing job. We wish we could relive the whole night over! Thank you Dan and Julie for giving us the most memorable and amazing night we could ask for 🙂

JP Liz is a dear friend from the weekend he industry and I didn’t have to think twice on who to call to officiate our wedding when I got engaged. She’s warm, caring, funny, witty, organized and truly loves what she does. She met with us a few times to go over ceremony options and structure and practiced the way to walk down the aisle and even exchange rings smoothly. There were tips and tricks she shared with us and on the day of, knowing she had it all under control put us at ease. She’s the best and I highly recommend her!!

Sandy and the DesignLight team are absolutely AMAZING. As you can imagine, planning a wedding was defined by curveball after curveball (including 2 venue changes) and our actual reception location wasn’t even finalized until a week before we said “I Do.” Sandy was in constant communication with us and our venue(s) from day 1- her professionalism was unparalleled and her abundant patience and flexibility with all our changes was such a breath of fresh air, especially with so much already on our plate. Kasie and Edna made the process so enjoyable! After getting a feel for our vision, they helped us build an incredible team of vendors. Their connections and knowledge of the industry made the process so easy and avoided our need for research and endless interviews. You’d never know they had other clients, as they are attentive and always available to make you feel like the priority! Especially over the course of a long engagement, planning from out of state, I was so grateful for how organized and detail oriented they were, as they remembered details that even the myself, the bride forgot over time!

Lynn provided us with an entire stationery suite that included invitations, escort cards, programs, signage and favor box stickers and I can say that each piece was both perfectly designed to the ideas we had in mind and absolutely beautiful in its finished version! Lynn was incredibly flexible with our non-traditional ideas and exceptionally creative throughout the entire process…I could not believe how she turned the pictures in our heads into exactly what we were looking for, but even more beautiful! On top of all of her talent, Lynn was a sweetheart to work with – she made everything seem so easy – even hand delivered some items to our condo the week of the wedding! I would highly recommend Lynn’s work – in fact I already have a good friend using her for an upcoming event – you would be lucky to get the chance to have her design your stationery!

I cannot begin to express what a joy it was to work with Arlene and Invitations & Company! After leaving an invitation store at a local mall in a panic because the sales associate could not understand my order, I remembered that a friend had given me Arlene’s name and from my first email exchange with her, it was as if a weight had been lifted from my shoulders! She is kind, creative, flexible (somehow managing to perfectly handle this entire order through only email exchanges since we do not live in the Boston area), accommodating, encouraging…I could go on and on! Not only were the invitations everything we hoped they would be, but she connected us with the most beautiful calligrapher who was able to exactly replicate the invitation font for our envelopes. Even though we are not local, we will unquestionably be returning to Invitations & Company for all of our future stationery needs. I am so grateful to have been pointed in their direction–no amount of praise that I could give would be too much!
